Cą di Bussini: a Bed & Breakfast situated in a lovely and peaceful area
of the Lunigiana countryside
Stretching between sea and mountains, Lunigiana is a land rich in history and traditions. Crossed by the via Francigena, an important European road of pilgrimages in medieval times, the territory witnessed many significant historical events, linked to the long rule of the Malaspina family who built numerous castles and fortified structures in defence of their lands.
Besides visits to museums housing prehistoric relics and very particular stone idols of ancient civilizations, medieval itineraries include tours to castles, walled and rural villages, Romanesque parish churches as well as to other sites of cultural value.
Lunigiana not only keeps an uncontaminated nature to be experienced at first hand - on foot through woods and meadows, by mountain-bike or on horseback along routes and muletracks -, but also a great variety of traditions such as festivals, fairs, exhibitions, cultural activities as well as savoury dishes of the local cuisine.
